Hey, I'm Ashton...

 

If you don't know me, I served as a Pararescue Jumper in Air Force Special Operations. Best job I every had. But after 15 combat deployments, I started to feel like a guest in my own home.

I’d walk in the door and my daughters would hesitate before running to me - like they had to remember who I was. It was straining my marriage, so I knew something had to change.

But I didn’t just want another job or more income. I wanted time. Freedom. Presence. I wanted to build something with my family, not apart from them.

That’s when I started buying rentals, as a way to replace W2 income with rental income. 

We started with small section 8 rentals, then 100 plus unit apartment complexes, and later vacation rentals.

That first property brought in around $300 per month. But that first vacation rental brought in over $5K a month, and zeroed out our tax bill. 

And the crazy part, we didn’t even live in the same state. Since then, we’ve grown to over 1,000 units - mixing vacation rentals, apartments, and boutique hotels - building a portfolio that gives us income, freedom, and the option to live wherever we want. We even spent two years living in Costa Rica, just because we could.
